f-fl ttVUj In the year of our Lord 1953, 21 little boys and girls started to the first grade. Their teacher was Marilyn Crowell. Their names were Scottie Athey, Dennis Buffington, James Crapson, Bobby Ele, Stanley Gerdes, Richard Hamilton, Kenneth Hays, Tommy Heldenbrand, Danny Jeffries, Gerald Legg, David Long, Skipper Martin, Steven Nicklas, Ronald Purdy, Billie Stock, Kenneth VanMatre, Jane d'Allemand, Kathy Egle, Nancy Hill, Carmen Wheeler and Carol Stock. In 1954 these same children started back to school in the second grade, with the exception of Kenneth Hayes, and Kenneth Van Matre. We gained four more children in this class. They were Barbara Gerih, Jimmy Long, Janice Kreamier, Karen Baylis. Their teacher was Miss Bagan. The following year, 1955, this group of children entered the third grade. We lost Nancy Hill, Richard Hamilton, Janice Kreamier, David Long, Jimmy Long, Skipper Martin, and Karen Baylis. Orville Erickson, Michael Lapp, Sandra Knipschild, and Lena Marie Hagan joined this group. Their teacher was Edna Voseipka. The next year, 1956, this group of children came back to school with the exception of Scotty Athey, Orville Erickson, Michael Lapp, Stephen Nicklas, Lena Marie Hagen, and Sandra Knipschild. James Gibb, Linda Bacon, and Donald Polly joined this group. Their teacher was Zora Sailors. In 1957, Ronald Cox, Karrol Kitt, Jerolyn Kitt, and Rodney Wheeler joined these children although Dennis Buffington and Bobby Ele left this group. Eva Polly was their teacher. Mrs. Zella Kerchal taught us music in the grades. This group of children started back to school again in 1958, although we lost Stanley Gerdes and James Gibb. John Walker and Gail Buffington joined this group. Their teachers were Mabel Scriven, Math; Robert Simmons, Music; Arline d'Allemand, English; Roger Gage, rest of our subjects. When this group came to school in 1959, their teachers were Mabel Scriven, Math; Tom Hill, Social Studies; Robert Simmons, Music; Miss Anita Nordhausen, rest of our subjects. We gained Lloyd Wicke, Orville Erickson, and Ann Arenz. We lost Gail Buffington. In our final year of Grade School we lost Linda Bacon and we gained John Harris and Delores Hudson. These are the names of the boys and girls who hoped to get their diplomas, -Mary 5: Ann Arenz, Ronald Cox, James Crapson, Jane d'Allemand, Kathy Egle, Orville Erickson, Barbara Gerih, Thomas Heldenbrand, Delores Hudson, Danny Jeffries, Dennis Kennedy, Jerolyn Kitt, Karrol Kitt, Gerald Legg, Donald Polly, Ronald Purdy, Carol Stock, William Stock, John Walker, Rodney Wheeler, Lloyd Wicke, and John Harris. In 1961 these teenagers began their high school career as scared freshmen. That year we gained Joanne Brunkhorst, Kenneth Kerchal, Larry Fanning, Sheryl Bernard, Ruth Ann Hunt, Jackie McBride, Nadine Sexon, and Marion Barrett. We lost Kathy Egle, Delores Hudson, John Harris, John Walker, and Marion Barrett. The following year we gained Jack Carmen, Roger Mettingly, and John Moreau. That year we lost Orville Erickson. At the beginning of our upper classmen years we lost Ruth Ann Hunt, Carol Stock, Ron Purdy, Barbara Gerih, Sheryl Bernard, Jack Carmen, and Roger Mettingly. We gained no new students our junior year. Our final year of school we gained Luis Reynoso, who joined us from Peru. We also gained David Long. We lost Jim Crapson. The twenty seniors who hope to graduate in 1965 are as follows: Nadine Sexton, William Stock, Rodney Wheeler, Lloyd Wicke, David Long, Jane d'Allemand, Larry Fanning, Kenneth Kerchal, Joanne Brunkhorst, Luis Reynoso, Jerolyn Kitt, Karrol Kitt, Ronald Cox, Dennis Kennedy, Kathryn Arenz, Danny Jeffries, Gerald Legg, Donald Polly, Thomas Heldenbrand, and Jack McBride. 17
