CflHKO Mpsr - HOMECOMING The festivities of the 1956-57 WHS Homecoming were started early in the Homecoming week when the Broncho Boosters organized to paint the downtown store windows. Thursday evening, October 19, a pep rally featuring the burning of the Trenton dummy and a gigantic bonfire were held in the ballpark. At 7:30 Friday evening, the Bronchos took the field against the Trenton Warriors. As the WHS players ran on the field, they passed through a huge horseshoe of flowers which was made by some of the girls. Jan Wade and Loren Egle were crowned Homecoming Queen and King at the half-time. Members of their royal court were Judy Weber, Karen Nordhausen, Jim Morgan, and Lorris Haarberg. The Pride of the Frenchman marching band presented their TV Show and played the Cermonial March as the royal couple were presented. The Warriors emerged victorious, the score 13-0. After the game, the Alumni Association gave a dance for the students of WHS, faculty, other alumni and the Trenton fans. Wiley Green and his orchestra provided the music.
