MUSIC DEPARTMENT 9 1? CORPS OF MAJORETTES Shirley Collins, Drum Major. FRONT ROW: Charlene Nord- hausen, Donna Graves, Cleophia Lane, Joan Schwenk. SECOND ROW: Dorothy Denker, Bonnie Berry, Helen Benker, Eve- lyn Walgren. THIRD ROW: Marjorie Blobaum, Barbara Wallace, Norma Terry, Lois Beezley. QQQXD This was the second year for the music department under the direction of Mr. Leonard Blinde. The band again made its appearance as a marching organization at the fall football games. The corps of maiorettes was trained to lead the marching maneuvers. The concert band increased both in size and playing ability. New uniforms were purchased in time for the spring activities. Band members were very proud of the new scarlet and white outfits which feature a military collar and a revere jacket. The choral department made similar pro- gress. Both boy's and girl'3 glee clubs were continued and the mixed chorus was built up from their membership. The department pre- sented the two act operetta, Sunbonnet Girl with Ioyce Iohnston, and Edward Miller in leading roles. FIRST ROW: Sharon Voorhees.
