The local chapter received its charter on November ll, 1934. At that time there were eighteen charter members. All boys who have ever been stu- dents in vocational agriculture classes are eligible for membership. There are forty-one active members during the current year. Activities of the organization center around three areas: school improvement, chapter activities, and individual projects. School improvements undertaken this year include a project of fencing the football iield, and building shelving for the high school library. Chapter activities provide for a regular meeting on the first Monday of every month. The chapter sponsors a basketball team which scheduled games this year with Future Farmer chapters in lmperial and Grant. To finance this and other chapter activities, the boys undertook the sale of Christmas greeting cards, later s sale ot Breeder's Gazette subscriptions, and printed pencils with the Wauneta Bronks basketball schedule for sale.
