Burke, Chairman HE DIVISION ol' Special Instructional Services is one ol' the new adniinistrative units ol our school, and includes those services which are supplemental to the regular day school. The departments which supplement instruction are: tlj The Guidance, Counseling and Testing services: QQ the Attendance service: Qflj the Library: the Health Centerg the Sight-Saving service: ftij the Speech Correction service: Q75 the Reading Clinic: the Einploynient service: Q95 the Audio-Visual service. Some of the activities include: Career Nights, College Night, Eighth Grade Testing, Parents' Meetings and Registrations, Dental Survey, TB Skin Test and X-ray program, Ifreslnnan Physical Examinations, Polio lnoculations, part-time and l'uII-time employ- nient. The Extension programs administered through this division, include the Adult Evening School, the Sunnner School and the Practical Nurse School. Hlith the exception ol' the Sunnncr School, these are adult services, and even include special college credit courses. CMM SCAQQI Business ,lice Ralph S. Brofherlon, Manager HE BUSINESS Olhce ol' Xllaukegan Township High School Dis- trict No. II9 is stalled by the Business IXlanager-Secretary ol the Board, his secretary who is also Treasurer ol' the District, a book- keeper, and a payrolI-bookrooin clerk. This oflice serves the school by the preparation ol the school budget, and the accounting ol' receipts and expenditures. .XII hnancial allairs ol' the District as well as the activity and club accounts ol' the school are recorded on the modern accounting machine. All purchases ol' supplies and equipment are inade by the Busi- ness Olhce. Another Iiunction ol' this ollice is the rental ol Iacilities by outside organilations and scheduling ol' Iacilities by school or- ganizations lor alter-school use. Textbook rental and issuance ol' books is made in the Business Ollice, and further serves the student body ol XV.T.H.S. by the sale of workbooks, locks, and athletic event tickets. xj'liealfA anal rpkysical ealucafion George W. Lalham, Chairman HE DIVISION ol' I-Iealth and Physical Education includes sev- eral departments within the curricular and extra-curricular organization ol' the High School. This Division is an administrative unit of the educational program and serves the Iollowing de- partments: Boys' Health and Physical Education Girls' Health and Physical Education Interscholastic Athletics and Intramural Sports R.O.T.C. Military Safety and Driver Education Another phase of activity included within the Division is the extra-curricular club organization, such as the NV Club, GA.-X, Dolphins, Cheerleaders, Peppers Club, Athletic Parents Club, Crossed Sabers, Honorary Cadet Sponsors, Cadet Drill Teani, Cadet Color Guard, and Cadet Rille Tearn. A high percentage ol the X'V.T.H.S. student body participates in the activities ol this Di- vision, either through the required courses ollered by the physical education and military departinents, or by voluntary participation in the extra-curricular program.
