meet Two 'W' Kane! and Orclae tra NDER the direction oi Otto Graham the Concert Band prepares for the an- nual iall and spring concerts and the assemblies, football and basket- ball games. The band presented for the first time in any high school the score from HGuys and Dollsw. The soloists for the concerts were Gerald An- derson, Robert Butkus, Paul Wille, and Stanley Ackerman. Director Graham says that the band of 1951-1952 has been tops. The Junior Band Works on basic principles and aspires to attain the goal oi becoming members of the Concert Band. Peppem Hdd Uim 70 Sparta Nctivitie ERHAPS the most enthusiastic group of students at WTHS is the Peppers' Club A com bination of cheerleaders and peppy rooters, this organization has gone a long way in promoting school spirit. With Mrs. Victoria Ford as the Peppers' advisor, and Mrs Mir iam Jones as the cheer advisor, the club sponsored what was one of the greatest Homecom ing spectacles ever staged at Waukegan. Consisting of an assembly, a bon-fire rally, and a parade, sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the affair was climaxed by the football game against Evanston, and closed with the dance to the theme of Indian Summer Ollicers for the year were: Loretta Wasil, president, Jean Prowett, vice-president Janice Sekulich, secretary, and Audrey Borkenhagen, treasurer.
