RCANIZED to supervise the club activities, the History Club Board of Directors, is com- posed of elected oflicers, plus two elected Board members. The Board meets at the beginning of the semester and plans the entire program for that semester. If the presi- dent finds it necessary to plan further activities or another problem arises, a special meet- ing may be called. Such activities as the History Club show and director, the fall trip, and Christmas contributions to Piney Woods, the banquet, and the spring trip are mapped by this board. It has been found a quite satisfactory organization since the History Club boasts the largest working membership of any WTHS club. Continuous activities, both at meetings and outside activities must be found to hold the interest of the members. The program chairman has exclusive charge of entertainment at meetings. Other chairmen are selected by the board to supervise special activities. 106

The western, a three act review took place on the dude-ranch, Wildhorn. Four chorus lines, one for each class, were introduced. Perhaps the most spectacular of the four was the freshman Indian chorus, as they performed in white-clad costumes in the pitch-darkness of the night. The only lighting in the scene was the camphre light. Other choruses were the sophomores as Spanish dancers, the juniors as Cow Girls, and the seniors as waitresses. Outstanding performance at the record-breaking-attended show was the 16 piece swing- band directed by Bob Boettle.
