The members. elected by the sludent body. met daily during the fourth period in lioom I2 with tl1eir sponsor. Nliss Eleanor bloore. Some days were designated as work days when the fiounvil divided into separate groups. Un other days formal parliamentary meetings were held at which time. abstract ideas were crys- tallized into concrete projects. The 1950-'Sl Council 4-arried on the work of preceding groups. Some of these activities were the lree get-acquainted dance in September. taking miniature pictures for the An- nual and lor personal use. supporting two foster children in Europe. appointing and supervising the hall monitors. dec- orating the halls at Christmas. co-ordinating all assemblies. organizing the Class Councils. selling student accident in- surance. chartering clubs. issuing honor VV 's for extra- curricular participation other than athletics. maintaining two suggestion boxes. and arranging the two activity bulle- tin boards.
