W TH . Mourns Death of Ml.SS Eleanor Bud MISS ELEANOR BUCK MISS ELEANOR BUCK, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Buck, was born in Morris, Illinois, on July 18, 1908. She was graduated summa cum laude with honors in Classics from Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio in 1929 and was awarded her B.A. degree at that time. Miss Buck was the proud possessor of a Phi Beta Kappa key. She attended the University of Illinois, the University of Chicago, and the State University of Iowa. After receiving her Masterls degree from Northwestern University in June, 1930, she continued her extensive education at the American Classical School in Athens, Greece, lflnstitut du Pantheon, in Paris, France, and at the University of Mexico in Mexico City. Prior to her teaching at W.T.H.S., she taught French and Latin for three years at Hinsdale High School, Hinsdale, Illinois, and five years of French and Spanish at the Urbana High School, Urbana, Illinois. Miss Buck died on January 21, 1951 after contributing seven years of faithful service at Waukegan Township High School. Her smiling face and cheerful disposition are greatly missed hy the faculty and students of W.T.H.S. who mourn her untimely passing. 15
