PROPHECY A fortunete1ler's crystal ball tells many things of the future. Things which many people would not believe true about certain people, namely the 1956-57 Senior Class of Watson Chapel. A few of the things which a crystal ball told me about my old class which I graduated with follows: As we look in on the year of 1960, we see that many of our boys are serving with the armed forces. among them Thomas Steele and J. W. Moss. Jack Doss had made a big name for himself in our congress while Margaret Greenwood devotes her time to her housework. Q We see that Patsy Barnett and Patti Brinsfield have finished their nurses' training and that Nancy Law- rence is now a secretary in a big business firm. James Lancaster, Harvey Ashcraft, and Roy Rawls are going to school in Nashville, Tennessee, while Glennie Elkins is training to become a television expert. Jo Stipp is now designing the patterns for the famous Lady Jo evening gownsg Carolyn Evans is in partnership with a well-known song vocalist. James Storz is working for one of the biggest contractors in the state. Remember how he could swing? Well. he's swinging a hammer now! Eva Varnell, Betty Lawson, and Betty Cross are now part of the WACS. We wish them the best of luck. Ronald White owns his own clothing store, and Helen Woods is contented to being a good wife and mother. On the exciting side of life we see that Kenneth Brown has joined the Foreign Legion. He always had that faraway look in his eyes. David Pierce is playing professional football and Ronnie Lowe owns his own race track. We hardly see him now! I ! Little Vernon Rhodes has long since been married and has a dairy in Texas . Howard Mozingo and Mattena own a big laundry and are making a million. Hallie Cox who has always torn up things is now working in a body and fender shop. Winnie and Lennie Crossett have just put out another song hit, It Takes Two to Understand. Jean Rodgers is in Hollywood, and James Bearden is still in Arkansas, but now owns forty thousand acres of it. Maneece Bridges. Bertha Cooper, and Stella Cummings do a lot of traveling with their wealthy husbands while Margaret Neeley and Charlene Young prefer the old stay-as-you-are method for they are big business women now. Bennie Shelton is a boss in a growing firm and Bill Allbritton and Troy Pierce are trying to become doctors. Voy Goodman and Tommy Hughes own a string of super markets. Susie Hanna is helping them. After all. she is Tommy's wife. Dorsey Raymick. Buddy Baxter, and Kenneth Monk own a big service station. Pauline Jones is still a happy housewife. but now she has two more to clean up for. Buryl Attaway and Don Lutrell are in the Air Force. Both are Aces. Bobbie Wright seems to have done all right just as her name implies. She has already written fourteen novels, three which have been made into movies. Nora Andrews, whose blood has always run cold is now a famous ice skater. As for me - well, I am still with my old job - but now I am telling others what to do. So you see. The crystal ball tells many things. Don't make it out a liar. Your old prophet, Hollis Worthen
