The moving was strange and different. We humped into everyone in the halls and lost ourselves completely. We liked having a choice ln-tween art and music. 'lille first few days we tried lioth and then decided. Many menioralrle events stand out in our memories of our first year in junior high. We could not take time to tell them all. so we will just tell the most out- standing. W'e heard the juniors and seniors in rhetoricals and so we tried it in English. We don't mean to lroast hut we did pretty well. We had a prize speaking contest at the end and l,owerre Harding was chosen the best speaker. Jean Nlcfileave was chosen second. ln the girls' new course. homemaking. we had good times. lsut we talked too much. Wve entertained some of the teachers with our cooking after school. They all lived. The hoys in shop were mighty proud lnecause the government asked them to make model airplanes for defense. ln T-2 we saved wastepaper and sold it. W'e liought lf! cent defense stamps with the monev. We liked the stamps hest. Grade T-l studied up on tulnerculosis. W'e wrote to the National T. B. Association and collected seals. Wie have from l909 to l9fll with the exception of l9l3 to i917 and l92l. ln science we all met Jimmie. s' '1 . the Fllffiletxiehi' has slid too quickly liv and now we have to leave. lt seems as though we just entered and left the same dav. We have made many friends and hope to see them all again next year.
