Michelle Athanas Crowned The tradition of Miss Watchung Hills continued this year with a court of five girls: Jennifer Lackland, Nancy Hoge, Michelle Athanas, Jessica Lipschutz and Natalie Albert. The girls are nominated by their class' peers and are voted on by the whole school. The crown is then turned over by last year's Miss Watchung Hills to the new winner. Librarians Mrs. Collier and Mrs. Lippincott show Mary Kamperman, Sara Werbel. Sarah Maynard. and Mohan Viswanathan i how to use the computer facilities. Secretaries Appreciate OFfice Aides 'They are invaluable to us during the day, said Mrs. Schaffer, receptionist and switchboard operator. 'The students are cooperative and follow orders with speed and reliability. Those students who assist as office aides work in the main office helping to decrease some of the secretariesi workloads. Gina Norcia and Chris Herman attend to such duties as: sorting the daily mail, running errands and deliveries to the north building, and helping with other office procedures. These girls should be complimented, for they do not receive remuneration for their time. Library Aides Are Links Between Books and Students The library aides are here to help keep the library running and to help give service to the school, said Mrs. Juanita Collier, librarian. Each one of the members works one period of the day in the media center. The members of the club are: Mohan Viswanathan. Mary Kamperman, Sarah Maynard, Bena Teo, Sarah Werbel and Brett Nusser. As a library aide the student can develop a sense of leadership in a working environment. This quality will be invaluable to students in their future endeavors. When asked if she enjoys working with the students, Mrs. Lippincott responded, It's always a pleasure to have the assistance of the students.
