FOLIO A Presenting the best in student art, , g, photography, graphics and literature . ' ll is what the literary magazine, Folio, The1987 Folio Staff worked for in the 1986-87 school year. Mr. Kaye led the club in monthly meetings to discuss con- tributions and exchange literary and artistic work. Senior Elliot Joffe, literary editor, and junior John Chow, art editor, contributed their time in discussing and deciding the magazine's contents. When the magazine is finished at the year's end, the Hester Horton Award for an outstanding Creative Writer will be given. ARROWHEAD The Hills newspaper, the Ar- rowhead, provides an opportunity for students to write articles of school news as well as feature articles with a more creative edge. The paper is headed by news editor Lisa Liu, features editor Jessy Lipschutz, copy editor Dennis Hwang and sports editors Michelle Roberto and Marc Scheinder. Jon Jeans is senior writer and music columnist. When publishing articles for school distribution, staff writers learn the responsibilities associated with free press. Advised by Mr. Manka, it is apparent why students on past Ar- rowhead staffs have succeeded in full-time positions with leading newspapers. For instance, Steven Kinney and Cathy Bugman work for the Newark Star-Ledger, and Paul Grzella is a feature writer with The Courier-News.
