Leading the Way! Each season brings about a different group of girls at- tempting to make the cheerleading squads. This years varsity basketball cheerleaders were chosen from a group of spirited girls who wished to instill energy and en- thusiasm in the fans. Led by advisor Barbara Spencer and co-captains Collette Armenti and Kristen Stift, the squad accompanies the varsity basketball team to home and away games. At the start of the season co-captain Kristen Stift represented the girls at a county-wide conference for athletic leaders on December thirteenth. Kris and Collette. along with the remaining squad members, create cheers and acrobatic routines to entertain and uplift the crowd. When asked to comment upon her girls, Mrs. Spencer replied, tiThese students give their all to supporting the team. Without them the gym would seem empty.
