Marching Band This year's marching band was advised by Mr. David Udell and Mr. Bill Holmes. Among the songs played this season were Russian Easter Overture, uDance Macabre, llOverture to Carmen and the '1812 Overture. The marching band consists of students who register for the band class and any students who play an instrument and desire to be part of the marching band. As part of their many hours of practice, the students attended a band camp held one week before the opening of school. The purpose of this camp was to teach the members the new music and routines for the season's shows. - When asked about the marching bands future, Mr. Udell replied, llWe foresee growth for the future in terms of size and musicianship. This year has seen the development of a solid core in the music program, and this core is providing strong student leadership. The band program also has become a positive social organization for all its members. Rn Artiui'ine Band seniors are called forward during the Thanl halftime show in recognition of their service and sp 4 Wm: Drum majors Dennis Hwang and Linda Wang.
