Child Development A pre-school program is run by student-teachers who take com- plete responsibility for planning, cleaning up, and evaluating the class. Fifteen pre-schoolers from the local community comprise the class. Each child has his or her own student-teacher. The entire program is run under the superb guidance of Mrs. Doris Davis The children are all five years of age or younger and qualify for the program by way of an application. Their day consists of free play, a fully planned circle activity. The children then proceed to the bathrooms for hand washing and then have a snack. How does Mrs. Davis like the Course? ttl love it!, she says. There have been a few small changes made during Mrs. Davis' first year. She involves the parents more than in the past but only for the benefit of the pro- gram. On the practical side, the in- teraction of the student-teachers with the children is more than a responsibility, but also the ultimate joy.
