Treney Foreign Language RUTH most memorable moments. students and the community. SCHOENBORN Ms. Schoenborn was the last of the six charter teachers to be hired. She was hired in August of 1957 as a Health and Physical Education teacher. For approximately fifteen years she taught Personal Health, Driver Education, First Aid. Senior Health, and Physical Education. She then dropped atl Health courses and is presently teaching only Physical Education. Over the years she has either coached or advised the Color Guard, Drill Team, Twirlers, Usherettes, Basketball. and Softball. She has also advised the graduation ceremonies. When asked what she thought to be the biggest change that has occurred in this school, Ms. Schoenborn replied. Do you have 30 years to discuss this in detail? Her participation at the Committee Level of the 1964 Olympics that were held in Japan was one of her funniest moments happened while she was participating in the facultylstudent musicals that were presented to the Faculty '

a ARTHUR SMITH Mr. Smith was the second uidance counselor to be hired by atchung Hills. He was hired in the spring of 195 as both a science teacher and counselor. He simultaneously taught Biology and served as a guidance counselor and later taught Natural Science. He has also advised the Newcomers Club and the Medical Careers Club. Mr. Smith notes that our school system has become more tradi- tional and conservative over the past thirty years. Some of his more memorable experiences were the quality field trl s that were taken when he was t e Director of Sum- mer School. One of his funniest moments occurred when a stu- dent rode down the 20's hall on hls motorcycle.
