A New Look at the Band The Band, conducted this year by Mr. Henry, has been better than ever. In October, they went to the New Brunswick Band Fes- tival, which was attended by schools from all over New Jer- sey. Throughout the fall, the band did its best to liven up the football games. The Christmas Concert consisted of many traditional songs in addition to some contemporary numbers. For the first time, the band accompanied the chorus, and the concert was held during school for the students, as well as at night for visitors. In February, for the first time in two years, the band toured ele- mentary schools: Central School in Stirling, Valley View in Wat- chung, and Central School in Warren. There they displayed their talents in a wide variety of music. In April the band per- formed in the annual Spring Concert. It has been a busy and very successful year for our War- rior Marching and Concert Bands. 30

Cafeteria Dimensions The South building cafeteria, overcrowded for so long, now provides students with a comforta- ble place to eat lunch, snacks, and to socialize; one of the final phases of the new dimensions of WHRHSh building program is completed. The new cafeteria seats approximately 200 students. The new facility serves not only as a pleasant surrounding for lunch, but also as a social study hall. The brightly painted walls and multicolored stackable chairs provided a relaxing and func- tional area of the school. 29
