The Department also p ro vides Disbursing Ship's Stores, laundry, messing, and data processing servicest The Department is composed of seven divisions. Stores: Stocks and controls consumables and electric, electronic and machinery spare parts. Food Service: Provides meals for all personnel except officers Sales: Operates retail stores, and provides laundry, dry cleaning, and tailoring services Disbursing: Maintains pay records, holds paydays, and pays travel claims Wardroom: Provides meals for officers and maintains officer staterooms Aviation Stores: Stocks and controls consumables and spare parts required for aircraft Data Ser.vices: Provides key punch and computer services The Supply Department stocks 60,000 items worth sevenmil- lion dollars, feeds up to 8,000 meals per day, has ship store sales of one million dollars per year, and disburses one half million dollars per month.
