I By JEAN OIHEEL Cast of Characters Time: One week after seeing LENA NEEDS STRANGE INTERLUDB DoN JARRELL Place: Any joint ACTS I, II, III, IV, AND V Gamma Delt Sorority formal CDance is in progress at the joint. Music playing hot jazz. Jarrell and Lena dance for a minute or two in silencej I I farrell: This is Warm stuff, Like the Way she holds herself. Moves like a cat. Wish I hadn't drunk so much. Hope I don't get sick. Hell, gotta bWerp. Lena: YOUlRE RATHER A CLEVER DANGER. BUT I SHOULDNIT TELL You THAT EOR I CAN - SEE You ARE FULL or THE OLD EGO. And that isn't all he is full of, either. But he is strong, clean, and healthy. just the type I Want to be the father of my children. I think I could love the boy. He certainly holds me tightly. I like it.
