Only through cooperative work with competent leaders can an institution succeed. Washington School has been fortunate to receive such a leader, a man who served to the height of his capacity in seeing educational ideals become realities. His services at Washington School began in June of 1970, when he worked diligently to establish this educational system on Reed Road. As headmaster for four years, he accomplished diverse tasks - the establishment of Wash- ington School with AA accreditation, the selection of competent and highly trained officials to guide students, choosing a flexible and highly enriched curriculum as a basis for study, and becoming a dynamic part of the Mississippi Private School Association. serving as chairman of District II West. These credentials alone do not equal his agreeable personality and sociable charm, qualities which most Washington School students remember about him. With fond memories, the Sabre Staff dedicates to Mr. John Ward the 1973-74 Sabre annual. if -'fs . 'fr ,QP XX. i , lun 5 ak 11 f 5' E M 5,1 - 1- Summer and .. ' 1' , , ., L .
