3' The happy ceremonies of homecoming are briefly interrupted by the joyful tears of Queen jan Wash. Standing in for King Greg Scheibel, Dick Ptacek seems perplexed about his course of action. A tearful but happy jan Wash reigned over Homecoming festivities. Crowned during half- time, jan was escorted by Dick Ptacek who stood in for Greg Scheibel who was busy preparing for the second half of the game. Later, jan was joined by King Greg at the Homecoming dance and the happy couple shared the WHS kingdom. Alums and students slid and jerked to music provided by the Counterpoints. Pictures of past Homecoming Kings and Queens lined the walls of the gym to add to the theme, Memoirs of Washington High in Review. The pride of the Freshman Class, Debbie Corn and Doug Creed represent their class in the festivities.
