MR. LYNN HOWARD Mr. Howard graduated with an A.B. from the University of Oklahoma and an M.A. from the University of Michigan. He also has attended the University of Arizona, Arizona State University and the University of Arkansas. This is his seventh year at Washington teaching World History and World Geography. Mr. Howard was an 'Archaealogist for 20 years and taught at the University of Okinawa. MRS. LETA M. ERICKSON Mrs. Erickson has taught four years at Washington. She is the Assistant Librarian and a World Geography teacher. She attended Wisconsin State College, Uni- versity of Minnesota and Arizona State University. Mrs. Erickson has her B.S. and is working toward her M.A. from the Arizona State University. World at Large Becomes More Familiar to W.H.S. Students .X Af kill Junior history classes not only learn of tl1e past history of the , United States but they get an interesting insight on the present day structure of the government. This is history in action. 6 .l -Bm' .XX XX 'N ', I Nw D V , 1 XX: tx MR. HERB FABRICAND Mr. Fabricand is a graduate of T. C., Columbia. He has taught U. S. History at Wlaslrington for five years. Mr. Fabricand has his B.A. and M.A. He was instrumental in getting the Foster Parent Plan adopted at Washington. MR. LEWIS BROWN American Government, and American History are taught by Mr. Brown. He is also one of the Senior Class sponsors. Mr. Brown attended Eastern Arizona Jr. College and University of Arizona where he received his A.A. and B.A. 28 ACADEMICS

Mr. Harvey Jensen IS presently teaching science. Mr. Fred Olsson is presently teaching Biology, Ad- vanced Biology, and Physical Science. is Mr. John Storey is presently teaching Physical Science. Mr. Swerdfeger is presently teaching Physical Science. He is also the varsity wrestling coach, under his guid- ance the Ram Wrestling team placed second in the state tournament this year. Mr. Thomas Pagel is presently teaching Physical Science and Crafts. Mr. Pagel is a graduate of Stout State College. Mr. Ed. Sine is presently teaching Biology. Biology is a required class for all sophomore students. He is the assistant varsity football coach in charge of the linemen. ACADEMICS

Mr. Gallagher is head of f zl l E ' 'A l Lil Yap l U l sv 3 iv! u the Social Studies Department. J N K.. X Mrs. Dorthy Delvin teaches world geography to students in the sophomore class. She also teaches in the home economics field. Mrs. Leta Erickson has taught for four years at Wash- ington High School. She is also assistant librarian. She teaches world geography. Mrs. Erickson attcntletl Wisconsin State University and Arizona State University. She is presently working toward her MA. from Arizona State University. Mr Dale Ditterline teaches three hours of U.S. History and two hours of U.S. Government. He is sponsor of the Junior class. Mr. Ditterline has attended Southern lllinois University, and Michigan State University. He has his HA. and BLA. degrees. Mr. Dilterline's hobbies are fishing, camping and travel. Germany, Canada, England, France. Netherlands, Belgium, have been some of the places Mr. Ditterline has traveled. Mr. Davis is presently teaching World Geography at Washington High School. This is his first year as a member of the WHS faculty. Mr. Lynn Howard is showing his class air routes between America and Europe. World Geography is a required class for all sophomores.
