Orchids in the Moonlight was held on April 29, 1961 at the Progress Club. Reigning over the Prom were Prince Richard Kraft and Princess Bar- bara Borowiak. The court consisted of: Diana Rozanski, Dan Paczkowski, Sally Lanchsweerdt, Robert Zel- lers, Geraldine Jaworski, Robert Zygulski, Kathleen Olejniczak, Ken Ziolkowski, Mary M. Nemeth, Geza Loczi, Princess Barbara, Prince Richard, Penny Milliken, Al Ridenour, Lor- raine Swartz, and James Witucki.

Newly Crowned Queen Accepts Crown And A Victory For Washington Beverly J erczak reigned as Queen of the 1962 Washington Basketball Court at the an- nual Washington-Central basketball game and royal festivities on January 25, 1962. Selected from homeroom 521 to com- pete against six senior queen candidates, Bev- erly waited excitedly with the other finalists for the half time announcement that made her queen. Part of her royal duties included the traditional exchange of roses with the Central basketball queen. The queen's court was made up of four junior girls and four senior girls and their escorts. Arrangements for the basketball court were made by the Booster Club. Halftime an- nouncement of the court was made by Sandy Sekendy, vice president. Vicki Skubis, presi- dent, did the crowning.
