ALTA MAE BRAYLARK Music was one of Alta ' s greatest loves. She was a member of the Glee Club for three years and took an active part in many of its presenta- tions. She will especially be remem- bered for her fine work in the Melloettes . LARRY BUCHANAN Larry ' s main interest was in sports throughout his school career. He was a member of the baseball team for four years and also played basketball in his freshman and sophomore years. SYLVIA BUKOWSKI The Panda Club ' s money was always safe with Sylv . She was on the Junior-Senior Prom Court in her junior year, and was always willing to lend a helping hand in class acti- vities. She is looking forward to a career as a secretary. JERRY COX Jerry joined our W.H.S. family in his junior year. Although quiet, his pleasant personality won him many friends. He spent most of his spare time playing his clarinet and saxo- phone. He plans to enter Purdue in the fall to study drafting. VIOLET CSIK Energetic was a fitting description for Chick Chick . She was an active member of the F.T.A. Club for four years. (The last year, treasurer.) She was a cadet teacher in biology, and the chairman of the government classes ' planning committee. She was in the senior cabinet, Panda Club, Junior Achievement, and Junior Red Cross. With all these, her grades did DAVID DABROS Where there was food, there was Dumbo . He was the happy-go- lucky type, always with a smile for every one. Dumbo played football in his sophomore year. He was on the senior play stage crew, and the Dramatics Club was proud to have him as a member. ANN DEBAETS DeBaetski was another energetic member of our class. In four years as a majorette, she never missed a game. She was an active member of the Hatchet, Library Club, and Stu- dent Council, and a member of the National Honor Society. She was Queen of the Washington-Central Basketball Court. She was class Historian as a junior and served on the yearbook staff. Her plan for the future is to become a doctor. FATE ECHOLS Fate was both musician and athlete. His bass voice was always an asset in Glee Club; his four-year play at right tackle, (as co-captain in ' 57) and his point-getting in the shot put earned him monograms. His ever- cheerful spirits won him a host of friends.

LANCE ADAMS Lance, who was from Trenton, Ten- nessee, joined our class in his junior year. He is strictly an outdoors man, being especially fond of fishing. He plans to be a machinist when he graduates. JANICE ALFORD You could always count on Jan ' s participating in Glee Club activities. The Melloettes made good use of her musical abilities. She was also very active in G.A.A. of which she was a member for two years. ED BOGNAR Bogie was the Casanova of our class, and will be remembered for his personality. Ed was vice-president in his freshman and junior year. He was also active in Hi-Y and the Art Club and he participated in our senior play on the stage crew. Notre Dame is Ed ' s choice of coleges.

RUBY HINES Ruby will be remembered for her pleasing disposition and readiness to help. The G.A.A., Dramatics Club and Panda Club were proud to have her as a member. She graced the band for two years as majorette. Her interest in a business career led her to Junior Achievement; her future plans involve a business course at Goshen College. JANET EDWARDS Music was Jan ' s main interest during her four years in high school. She was a member of the Glee Club for four years and took part in many of its activities. She also was a member of the Dramatics and the Panda Clubs. Her future plans include a business course at Indiana University. CAROLE ANN FIELDS Carol will long be remembered as one of our b est student librarians. She was an active member of the Library and Panda Clubs, and was the poster chairman of the Y-Teens. In her spare time Carol enjoys read- ing. She plans to enter the Business College in South Bend to become a stenographer. ANTHONY GISH Understanding and pleasant was the description of Skip . Although shy, he had a way. Skip ' s hobbies were hunting and fishing, which took most of his spare time. His plans are hidden, but whatever the future, we know he will be a success. JOHN HODOSI Carpentry was the main interest of Hodg . He was on the football team in his sophomore and junior years. He also lent a helping hand on the stage crew for the junior and senior plays. His future plans are to study architecture. JOHN HOWELL Tucker , a real joker, will be re- membered for his sense of humor. His acting ability was shown in dra- matic presentations as a member of the Dramatics Club. He also found time to play football, basketball, and run track for ' W.H.S. ARLENE JANCZAK Janczak was one of the active ones in the class. She was the athletic type, cadet-teaching a gym class and being a cheerleader for three years. Arlene was a member of the Panda Club, Drama Club, Student Council, Hatchet (News Editor) Future Teachers, and Spanish Club, and acted in both of our class plays. 11 4.
