t 'F-wwf. Shep, Evelyn, I-leqqi, Daniel Most Promising Students This year the students of Washington selected Dan Heggi and Evelyn Shep as the two students of most promise. They are well worthy of this honor bestowed upon them. Evelyn has been an outstanding student throughout her high school career and has won the friendship of all who knew her, She is very active in the Girl Reserves, Make- Up Crew and has taken part in both the junior and the senior class plays. One of her outstanding accomplishments was writing the class poem. Her easy smile and friendly manner have won her many life-long friends and she is truly a student of great promise. Dan is also a senior at Washington. He is five feet, seven inches tall, has black hair, and an easy smile which makes him known ta all. Dan has been active in the student government and has enjoyed taking part in sports. His quiet leadership, his dependability and his thoroughness in all that he does foretell his success.

Vinovich, Robertp Dolnics, Geri C I Mr. and M1ss Washmgton Robert Vinovich and Geraldine Dolnics, better known as Geri and Bob , are the Mr. and Miss Washington of 1945. Io Donahue, editor-in-chief of the Senior Anvil, which spon- sors the contest, announced the winners at the annual dance in lanuary of this year. Geri, who is five feet two inches tall, has blond hair and a pleasing smile, entered Washington as a freshman and has taken great part in the activities of our school. Some of her more important responsibilities were being secretary of the junior class and taking the lead in the senior class play. She is also on the art staff of the Senior Anvil. Geri has been known by all for her cheery greeting and personality. Bob, also a senior in Washington, like Geri has taken a great part in the activities of the school. His outstanding activity was football on the varsity football squad: he was a member of the State Championship Team in l942. His curly black hair, smiling eyes, and friendly greeting have made him well-known throughout the student body.
