THE WEEKLY ANVIL The Weekly Anvil, the school paper of Washington High is a source of information to all those in or out of school. lt is doing much to lift the morale of the boys and girls on the fight- ing front as Well as on our home front. The Anvil consists of news stories, features, editorials, sports and gossip columns, and many other articles of a varied and interesting nature. The editor-in-chief for this year is Ma- ree Kamzik, who with Dorothy La Banc as her assistant has done a splendid job of directing the operation of its various departments. The Business Department of the Weekly Anvil is concerned mainly with the circulation and distribution of the Weekly Anvil. lt is under the direction of the student business man- ager, Alma Brennan. The faculty advisers of the Anvil are the Misses Swindell and Frye, and the Messrs. Alten- derfer and Kellam. The purpose of the faculty advisers is to aid the student journalists in making the Weekly Anvil the most informative and interesting school paper in the Calumet Region.
