Since it is recognized that good health is essential for satisfactory school work, a clinic is maintained at the school to check the heolth status of students. Each year a physical examination is given to each pupil and upon the results of this scrutiny, recom- mendations toward better health are offered. Any ab- sence excuse due to illness is confirmed by the nurse, and she also administers any first aid needed. Across the counter of the general office is found the personnel needed to keep the school functioning efficiently and smoothly. Scholarships, checking grades, eligibility, tardiness, and attend- ance are some of the duties they oerform.
