The Freshman c lass went aH out for Spirit Week this year, proving that it ' s not only upperclassmen that have spirit But the yearbook staff must ex¬ tend sincere apologies for an unfor¬ tunate accident in which all the color pictures of the freshman skit were lost. Luckily, there were black and white photos taken that Wednes¬ day. as the class presented to us a rousing football game — Washing¬ ton vs. Mission — in 1950 ' s style. The class of ' 86 showed tremendous spirit in their skit, complete with music like Jailhouse Rock and other 50 ' s faves. and were able to bring the other classes into the excitement of the game, in which the Huskies natu¬ rally triumphed! The judges enjoyed pizza while watching the show, and saw the freshman showing spirit all through the week dressed up in space clothes, togas, pajamas, and school colors. 1. Husky cheerieoders do their song and dance. 2. Drumming up Husky spirit! 3 The happy, triumphant crowd. 4 tkjsky bal players 5. The class of 1986 celebrates spirit u l v

On Tuesday, the Sophomores showed us their spirit with video games as the theme for their skit. They sang and danced and entertained us in tune to such games as Asteroids, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Space Invaders, which we can all relate to. Although their spirit was high, the Sopho¬ mores took only a fourth place spot in the Spirit Week competition. Well, they still have two more years to work their way to number one, and were off to a good start with some excellent dress up days this year including beach day, punk day, generic day, and gumby day. Better luck next year to the class of 1985. Keep your spirit high! 1. Pac-Man ghosts. 2. Diana. Litha. and Amy. 3. Donkey Kong danc¬ ers. 4. Diana Brum¬ baugh does her dance. 5. Kelly Stange struts up a storm. 6. Kim Lewis. Kim Hansen, and others show their stuff.
