Kay Pool, Larry Carr, Marlene Brobst, Merrill Goodrich, lola Bisel, Shelley Reece enjoying their favorite school period. Scene: Around the lunch table Time: Noon, any spring day Iola: Gee, this has been an interesting sophomore year. It seems as if there has been a chain of activities all the time. Larry: Yes, beginning last fall with the football games. Do you remember the first game of the season with Horton, when it pouring down rain? Marlene: When the bus got stuck and we had a wrecker pull us out! Merril: The game was won that night by one of our sophomore boys, Roy Cox, running the extra point. Kay: Larry, I'll never forget the operetta, Tulip Time, when you were the cute little Dutch boy, Hans. Larry: Thank you, Kay, I thought you were a good Dutch boy dancer too. Shelley: I enjoyed all the dancing, singing and the colorful costumes. Iola: I think the future basketball teams of Washburn should be good because so many of the sophomore boys are getting a lot of experience playing on the B team. Larry: I thought the sophomore girls did a swell job serving at the Christmas dance. Merril: Oh, yes, and all the girls wore such pretty dresses that night! Kay: Hats off, to the committees in charge of the F, F. A. , F. H. A. , and Athletic banquets! They were a great success. Shelley: I especially enjoyed the food. Marlene: Wasn't it fun serving at the Junior-Senior Prom! Larry: That's where you get a ringside seat to watch the upper classmen. Iola: We get out early tonight to watch the baseball game. Scene: Around Time: Christmas Dance 1952 K 6-7 , IN the fireplace Juanita: Didn't we have a lot of fun this afternoon Donna: decorating for the party? .1 ilx, Margaret: Yes, and everyone looks so beautiful tonight! Geneva: Our next formal will be the Junior Prom: and speaking of the prom, didn't we have fun selling magazine subscriptions last fall? We made quite a bit of money, too. Shirley: I can hardly wait until we decorate for the Margar junior -senior prom. Marcia: Yes, the class always has fun working together, and I'll bet our Daisy Chain will be no exception. Carolyn: Our class really does its share in the athletic lines , too. Norma Lee: Yes, and three of the junior girls are cheer-leaders. Besides, the juniors hold a big share of the offices in school organizations Junaita: What about the boys ? et:Goody!I like to talk about boys. Geneva: There are our comedians, Gary Fenity and Max Young. Donna: Oh, such dead pan faces! I laugh every time they come on the stage. Carolyn: We have some writers, too: Bob Williams, Jimmy Zinn, and Albert Crane. Shirley: Aha! Now I'm finding out things! Carolyn: Silly! Essay writers. Marcia: Hush! Look!
