Principal Carl V. Anderson Principals Lead Washburn Assistant Principal Russell L. Helleckson To the students: This has been an exciting school year. I am sure that each of yon can think of events and programs that appealed to you. It may have been an athletic contest or a musical or speech program. Perhaps you remember some provocative editorial in the school newspaper or a visiting speaker who aroused your interest in some controversial subject. If you took part in some student organization. those activities may Ik what you remember as most enjoyable. In a large school, since there is such a variety of things to do, I am sure that all of you have had a chance to use your talents to good advantage. We have a dedicated and competent faculty at Washburn. 1 know that they have tried their utmost to provide you with the skills and attitudes which will Ik valuable to you in later life. I know, also, that it is impossible for you to evaluate your education at this time; but I am sure that as you grow older, you will appreciate the fact that you have received a top-level education. Whether you go on to further education or enter into some field of employment, this appreciation of what you gained here will grow in perspective. We hope that you will keep in touch with us and let us know about your accomplishments. The success of our graduates is most rew arding. I wish to express the appreciation of the entire staff to the graduating seniors for your leadership this school year. Our best wishes go with you. Carl W. Anderson Assistant Principal Wayne C.
