Mr. .Xnderson graduated from the University of Minnesota where he receiyed his liachelor and Nlasters degrees. lieliore coming to XVashhurn he held sc-yeral educational appointments: taught in seyeral sinall towns and at Henry High School. Nlinneapolisg was assistant principal at Central High: and was principal at South High. He seryed in the Navy as an executive officer in VN'orld XVar ll. A new principal, new teachers, and many new ideas reinforced the faculty during our Senior year. Our faculty has guided us through many disappointments in our three years at Washburn as well as sharing in our many joys of school experiences. Our mistakes have been overlooked, and our faculty has shown us understanding and kindness in times of need. Washburn faculty members find time for social functions, too. A welcome party, which took the form of a picnic, was given for Mr. Anderson. Miss Perry, at the time of her retirement, was guest of honor at a tea given by the faculty. The Washburn teachers were hosts to the faculty of neighboring Central High School at a professional meeting. Our faculty has done outstanding work in helping the students of Washburn understand and appreciate the value of an education. They find joy in seeing their pupils succeed. We Seniors, as well as the underclassmen, are grateful. Thank you for your patience and help. H
