Each year fhe club as a unif fakes on some proiecf fhaf will help fhe school. Lasf semesfer fhey collecfed wool scraps fo make an afghan. They also boughf a hospifal bed fo be used in fhe Firsf Aid courses. The officers of fhe fall semesfer were Gloria Swan- son, presidenfg lone Norby, vice-presidenf: Polly Sanford, secrefary: and Mary Ellen Endicoff, freas- urer. For fhe firsf meefing of fhe fall semesfer Laura Bell McKusick, a former Washburnife, commenfafed af a sfyle show in which Washburn sfudenfs and alums modeled. Mrs. H. K. Painfer spoke fo fhe girls af one meefing on fhe choice of colleges: Mrs. A. N. Safferlee spoke af fhe following meefing on war shorfages, and several members presenfed a panfo- mime. Carolyn McLean, Evelyn Whifesel, and Grace Hurd gave a skif af fhe senior farewell meefing. The programs on fhe spring calendar included a home falenf program, a sfyle show, and a senior farewell.
