On this night the 385 members will receive their diplomas 1 from Mr. MacQuarrie and leave Washburn to follow their different roads to what lies ahead .... The immediate future of this June class is, perhaps, the most uncertain of any group which has graduated from Washburn. A few members have already started college, while some are already fighting for their country. Many of the boys are going into the Army, Navy, or Marine Corps. Some will start college this June in order to be able to finish before joining the armed forces. The girls must choose between war worlc and higher education .... The class chose Beyond Tomorrow as their theme. This is a challenge to each boy and girl to loolc ahead, to worlc and plan for the time when the classes graduating from Washburn may again step out into a world at peace. . . . gif YQ S W fi E' 'U P' F4 vs- 21 W-, X JMX, 2 ,...-if -5 1 1 gnu 'lab-5' I ' 6 ' 1 ff 'iw 1 HI' 5'-vii IU E SE IORS LOOK BEYO D TOMORROW The resuI+s of Ihe senior eIec+ion showed Jimmy Shilcany 'Io be presiclenl of Ihe June class.
