A penny saved is a penny earned. From the beginning, Senior English is by far the most enjoyable course to many students. Shakespeare, offered during 11A, is always a well liked subject. Not only are the interpretations of Shakespeare's works carefully studied, but the life and customs of his time are added to the knowledge acquired during the first half year of senior English. A thorough knowl- edge of the famous writers, literature, and history of England is gained during the final year of high school English. The text, Adventures in English Literature, carries the student from the Anglo-Saxon epics to modern twentieth century novels.
