Regardless of the distances which separate their homes, they are being drawn rapidly together by a common interest. To them, as individuals. Washburn High School is a beautiful building with every sort of modern equipment for the intellectual and physical development of their children. As a group, they see in it an opportunity to work together, under the most favorable circumstances, to safeguard the interests of all chil- dren in the district, and solve one another's educational problems. Thus, our school community is fast taking form. In our impatience, we frequently feel that our efforts are producing very meager results, but on closer scrutiny we find that in this first year's work deep foundations have been laid on which a more showy superstructure can be built in years to come. Let's build well for Washburn! There is always time for courtesy.
