The band marched in several parades including the annual Homecoming parade, Bayfield Apple Festival, and for the first time, it marched in the Christmas City of the North Parade in Duluth, Minn. The band, stage band and many solo and ensembles competed in the Music Contest. During the summer of 1976, the city of Washburn celebrated its five year homecoming which ended with a large parade in which the band participated. Tom Olson.
