JUNIORS . . . FIRST ROW, left to right: Alice Westling, Darlene Bakkala, Lois Maki, Judy Sanger, Delores Leafblad, Benita Rude, Kathy Butterfield, Janet Tast, Joyce Butterfield, SECOND ROW: Melanie Maitland, Bonnie Bodin, Frank Lukasiewicz, Duane Swanson, John Albers. THIRD ROW: Mike Stock, Grant Har- nois. Jack Olson, Bill Lindsey, Jim Cleary, Don Stone, David Day, Rick Kurschner. Through the past year, the Juniors have earned numerous distinctions for themselves, as they have comprised the major portion of the lunch line, the water fountain line, and the detention hall crowd. Not of less importance is the fact that we, as a class have set ourselves apart from the rest of the school by the virtue of earning LAST place honors on our Homecoming float, Wipe ’Em Out.” The members of the class proved to be an inspiration to underclassmen and teachers alike, as they excelled in their studies and in all extra- curricular activities. The Juniors proved to be the backbone of the football, basketball, and baseball teams, of the forensics and dramatics teams, of the musical organizations and the Hi- Times and Annual staffs. The Junior Prom and banquet proved to be the highlights of the year. The upper classmen enjoyed a sumptuous feast prepared under the direction of Miss Jorgenson on Sat. evening. May 6. Under a canopy of orchid and purple, couples danced the night away and enjoyed our prom, Paris by Night, ” on May 20. Now that the year has ended, we look most eagerly to next fall and our reign over the school as Seniors. OFFfCkR£ J. Cleary, Pres.; M. Leino, Treas.; J. Tast, Sec'y B. Lindsey, Vice-Pres. 26
