Just then Weegie comes home on his Gauger motorcycle named from the model by Clyde Gauger. Weegie has a date with Butchia Gonzaloes, the daughter of the former Karen Larson. Weegie and Butchia are going out for a fish fry at Bodin's Sea-Side Inn, owned and operated by Edna Bodin. Mr. Albers reluctantly bids the kids farewell. After supper, Mr. and Mrs. Albers take a walk down to Kerry's Cafe and Cocktail Lounge. As they arrive, a dance contest is just beginning. Sandra Bratley and James Palm have just begun their famous space-hop bop. They should surely win with thatl Mr. Albers happens to glance over at the counter where Lee Arntsen is sitting, sipping sarsaparilla and talking to Maxine Rogers, who is now his bride. Upon leaving Kerry's place, Mr. and Mrs. Albers happen to pass Niemisto's Beauty Salon. Gloria now specializes in men's hair styles. Looking into the window, they see George Williamson receiving the latest haircut. George is now the president of the Williamson’s Co-operative and is happily married. Returning home, Mr. Albers reviews the events of the day. Now well pleased and satisfied with the class of '57, he settles down to making future Washburn High classes as successful as our class has been.
