She told them that she is now the Home Ec teacher at Washburn High School and the students are still winning the Cherry Pie” baking contest. The last she heard from Nonnie Vienneau was that she had joined the WAC to be with her husband. Dick, interrupting, remembered that Jon Utpadel is the chief of the Highway Patrol and his wife, Joanne Embertson is a guard in a woman's prison. Their three children are little angels. Tohy broke in then to say that she received a letter from Caroline Bissell not long ago. She and her husband Jerry are enjoying life in Germany very much. She also heard that Mary Jane Mesner and her husband are living in Superior and have seven children. Suddenly a ski-car shot past the window and, as Fran glanced out, three teen-age boys walked past. By this time it was getting late and as the people slowly cleared out, the small group of 1957 graduates lingered a while longer, then left with the knowledge that they would thoroughly enjoy the banquet in Fran's honor the next day.
