The freshman class this year numbered ninety-six students, forty-seven girls and forty-nine boys. Freshmen home room teachers are: Miss Kindelberger, Mr. Ihlenfeld and Mr. Roe. These teachers and Miss Lynch, who is a part time high school teacher, are sponsors of the class. Members of the class whose names have often appeared on the Honor Roll are Christine Lash, Nada Seabright, lack McKee, Nellie I-Ierback, Paul Elces- ser, Elizabeth Glenski, Mary Louise Bartels, Emily Lou Mehlman, Robert Abraham and Robert Reitz. Blue and gold were chosen as the class colors and the teams entered in the class tournament Wore uniforms of these colors. The enrollment of the eighth grade this year is ninety-nine students. Home room teachers for this grade are Mr. Pryor, 8-lg Miss Blackburn, 8-2, Miss Lynch, 8-3. Th bank cashiers for the eighth grade are Helen Golden, 8-lg Iim Minder, 8-2, and Natalc Schirripa, 8-3. Warwood Iunior High School vvas represented in thc annual spelling bee at Ritchie by Mary VVolfe and Dan Steiniger. Dan was one of the thirteen Ohio County representatives who competed in the final contest May. 6. The junior high basketball team, composed mostly of eighth grade students, had a very successful season Winning seven and losing two games. They were defeated by Ritchie in the league play off 28-27.
