SOPHOMORE BOYS This year there were lilly-one boys enrolled in the sophomore class. The boys ol' this class were quite active, especially in the sports held. They entered teams in the class tournament and won the position ol' runners-up in this event. They also were the lirst to win the sportmanship cup, awarded hy Mr. Smith and Mr. Roe this year. Rohert Dietrich was the sophomore hoy who made the honor roll consistently throughout the year. FRESHMAN GIRLS Fifty girls were enrolled in the freshman class this year. They entered several teams in the class tournament and played very well. A class meeting was held at the beginning ol' the year, at which time the class colors, hlue and white, were chosen. Several girls consistently made the honor roll throughout the year. The boys won the class tournament and the girls held up their side very well. The class held a skating party and a movie at the beginning of the year. They were both successful. The class play, The Green Ghost , showed that their acting was as good as their managing ability. The profit made, broke the record formerly held by the seniors of this year. The prom given the seniors was one of the lovcliest ever given. A line class-these juniors. SOPHOMORE GIRLS Forty-eight sophomore girls were enrolled this year. As a whole, the girls were quite active. There were ollices of many clubs held by those in their ranks. The girls of the class entered several teams in the class tournament and were runnersaup. The sophomore girls Who were on the honor roll throughout the year were Caro- line Nestmann, lane Hill, Iessie Lee Hoover, Betty Lou Cunningham and lane Meyers.

Many ol' them gained places on the lootluall, haskethall, and track squads. They also entered teams in the class tournament. The freshmen have not sponsored activities lliemselves, hut have cooperated with the other classes. Nellie llerhacli, an eighth grader, was one ol' the thirteen children ol' Ohio county who won their way to represent the county at the Newseliegister spelling hee at Ritchie school May 7.
