MR. T. RYLAND SANFORD Superintendent of Schools 'Jhe fldminiatuation -Headai Heading the Warwick Public School System is Superintendent T. Ryland Sanford. For years he has worked with the public schools trying to bet- ter our educational system. School activities and programs are greatly influenced and determined by Mr. Sanford. It is through his untiring efforts and sincere interests that the students of Warwick have for their use a modern plant consisting of seven buildings, and the facilities necessary for a varied curriculum. Assisting him are Mrs. Winder, director of Instruction, Mrs. Mitchell, director of Art Education, and Mrs. Haverty, Visiting Teacher. As the heads of Warwick, Mr. Cox, and his two assistants, Mr. Davis and Mr. McConnell, have a big job on their hands. lt is their responsibility to keep the school running smoothly which may mean anything from a decision on school policy g ' if Xxx MRS. The Warwick High School Parent-Teachers Association experienced a very successful year. A large number of parents were present at the meetings and enjoyed the programs, especially the back to school night. The main objective of the association was to continue projects which have been in pro- gress several years. Two S150 scholarships were again awarded to graduates who will enter the teaching proiessiong an eye test clinic was conducted, and patrons again served as chaperones at dances and recreation nights.
