I inquireci as to the length oi time she hart been working as receptionist. anci she repiieci three years. Since i was rather exhausteci from all the excitement. i went up to my hotel room. Tuning in the raciio-television. I hearci the sweet voice oi Jackie Fisher. who was singing with Jim iViarlin's Weil-imown swing iaanri. Finally, ciismissing all thoughts oi sleep from my mimi, i grahheci a taxi to Times Square. The tirst thing to meet my gaze was a rather impressive iooic- ing night cluh managed hy Larry Roth. The floor show was just heginning when i arriveci. Among the ranics of chorus girls, i noticeci Orpha Miller, Pat Miller, and Pat Carpenter.
