FOREWORD New York State is an integral part of the United States. It is truly representative of the entire nation. By delving into the various resources, activities, and features of the state, one would discover that the state comprises those of all the forty-eight states in itself. Our state has liad a major part in the history of our coun- tryg from the literature of our state have come legends which are known to young and old alike. Many sports, some of which origin- ated in the Empire State, have liecome national pastimes. lf one is in search of a wealth of drama or art, it can all be found within the houndries of New York. ln this issue of the Blast we are attemp- ting to show how we, through our education, will enter into the active life of New York State.
