In this 1973 TOTEMPOLE, we the staff have tried to compile the history of this past year as it is being made. We have tried to capture the changes, spirit and mood of this year, and at the same time create a treasured memory book for the future. lt has been a very difficult task, but despite the head-l aches and problems, it has been a rewarding experience. My only hope is that this yearbook shall be an example of a changing youth, a changing high school, and a changing world . . . I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Miss Linda McCurry for her advice and tolerance of my constant demands for innovations, and to Mr. John Strickland for his understanding when the times were rough, and then to the TOTEMPOLE staff who spent many long hours working on this book.
