Several of the players started off this year, for their first season of football. With more practice and experience we improved. As a reward for our sportsmanship, playing ability, and appearance we were awarded a trophy by the Homewood Exchange Club The trophy was held by Oak Grove before us. If the boys do as good a job next year as we did this year they will get to hold the trophy another year. We all hope the gang will do better in basketball next season than we did this year. We are looking forward to a great season of baseball this 'spring. We seniors will feel more like leaving school if we have a good season of baseball.
