Although the Warren, High School Band lost fourteen talented, six- and seven-year musicians in the '41 graduating class, the band gradu- ally increased this year with a total membership of forty-five students at present. The band played at the Farmers' Short Cou-rse Program, Salvage Day, Christmas Program, Spring Concert, and District Contest. This organization elected two officers for the year at a meeting held early in- the fall: Enid Ovsak to serve as president and Rae Engen as assistant di-rector. Seniors who received letters in recognition of their Work in band during their high school yearsare Henry Hanson, oboe 5 Rae Engen, trom- boneg Margaret Strunk, French horng Enid Ovsak, cornetg Lois Nelson and Joyce Golden, drumsg Dennis Roley and Iola Johnson, clarinets. Those students who Wereelected to represent Warren in the A11- District Band in Crookston are: Joyce Larson, Henry Hanson, Enid and Phyllis Ovsak, Gloria Goulet, Margaret Strunk, Betty Lou Ranum, Lois Nelson, Dennis Roley, Iola Johnson Rae Engen, and Lyla Urtes.

Pep Band In the fall of '41 Mr. A. 0. Nordvold, band instructor, organized a Girls' Pep Band, which played at both home and out-of-town games. They also performed at pep fests and other activities. Crchesira At the Junior Carnival .this year a main attraction was the Warren High Orchestra. It was composed of band members and instrudtedi by Mr. Nordvold.
