They have been active in music with Joan Sillerud, Jean Brown, June Holmgren, Vernon Roley, and Dale O. Peterson in the mixed chorusg and June Holmgren, June Golden, Wallace Oslie, Jerome Quanrud, and Ruby Stuemke in the band. The freshman class has Physical Education twice a week, the girls under the instruction of Miss Skov and the boys under Mr. Lysaker. They held a get acquainted party at the beginning of the year. Oberg, Phyllis Ovsak, Viola Pearson Betty Lou Ranum, Ro-bert Snyder, Leland Underbakke, Marvin Willey, Betty Wilson, and Donna Mae Zimmerman. Phyllis Bakke and Betty Lou Ranum participated in the local de clamation contest. Maynard Ranstrom was one of the first ten in basketball and Lloyd Flod, Calvin Melgard and Robert Snyder Won letters in football. Phyllls Bakke and Betty Wilson are sophomore cheer leaders. Donna Mae Zimmerman was chosen as queen of the 1942 Junior Carnival.
