Music contestants at the district festival in ,Crook-ston were Phyllis Bakke, Beatrice Bergstrom, Helen Broften, Joy Feick, Gloria Goulet, Orvel Johnson, Idola. Oberg, Phyllis Ovsak, Viola Pearson Betty Lou Ranum, Ro-bert Snyder, Leland Underbakke, Marvin Willey, Betty Wilson, and Donna Mae Zimmerman. Phyllis Bakke and Betty Lou Ranum participated in the local de clamation contest. Maynard Ranstrom was one of the first ten in basketball and Lloyd Flod, Calvin Melgard and Robert Snyder Won letters in football. Phyllls Bakke and Betty Wilson are sophomore cheer leaders. Donna Mae Zimmerman was chosen as queen of the 1942 Junior Carnival.
